Conscious life design coaching for high-achieving women in Scotland & online

I’m Cat, a women-led coach based in Paisley, Scotland.

I work with high-achieving professional women and founders who look wildly successful from the outside, but know there’s more to life than overthinking, overworking and quietly doubting themselves.

Together, we design a life and career filled with more rapture, adventure and autonomy – on your terms, not everyone else’s.

I draw on psychology, criminology, intelligence analysis and behavioural science to help you understand how your mind works, not just how you “feel”.

Then we turn that insight into clear decisions, bolder moves and calmer confidence.

If you want to stop living politely and instead live deliciously and a wee bit dangerously, you’ve found your space on the internet.

Who I work with

I work with women who are smart, driven and done with playing small. I also work with founders (non gender specific)

Typical clients include:

  • Senior professionals and leaders in corporate or public sector roles.

  • Founders and self-employed folks who want their business to serve their life, not consume it.

  • High-achieving women in professional services who “have it all together” on paper but feel flat, stuck or constantly behind.

You’re likely:

  • The one people rely on, at work and at home.

  • Brilliant at solving other people’s problems, brutal with yourself.

  • Torn between “I want more” and “I should be grateful for what I’ve got”.

  • Ready for change, but not interested in burning your life down for the sake of it.

If you want a more conscious, spacious, adventurous life and you’re prepared to do the work, we’ll get on.

The problems I help with

We work on real, messy, human problems that as human beings we quietly carry around, such as:

  • Imposter syndrome that won’t sod off even though your CV and career history says you’re more than qualified.

  • A career that looks brilliant on LinkedIn but feels flat, heavy or misaligned in real life.

  • Running on stress and obligation, rather than joy, curiosity or desire.

  • Living in your head, overthinking every decision, replaying conversations and second-guessing yourself.

  • Struggling to set and hold boundaries, especially with work, family and people who “need you”.

  • Wanting more rapture and adventure, but not knowing what that looks like or how to move towards it without blowing everything up.

Underneath all that, the deeper themes are usually identity, self-concept, self-worth and permission to want what you actually want.

What we do together

1:1 Conscious life design coaching for all founders or high-achieving women

This is deep, personalised coaching who are ready to stop living on autopilot or politely.

We use structured reflection, psychological tools and my behavioural lab experiments to:

  • Clarify what “a life on your terms” really means.

  • Spot thinking patterns that keep you small, stuck or constantly busy.

  • Design practical changes in your work, relationships, money, time and energy.

  • Build the courage and capacity to actually follow through.

Sessions are low touch, via email or A-synchronous coaching, so you can join from anywhere in Scotland, the UK or beyond.

Career & leadership coaching

For women in leadership or ambitious roles who want influence without losing themselves.

We may work on:

  • Imposter syndrome and chronic self-doubt in high-responsibility roles.

  • Speaking up, visibility, decision-making and conflict without the emotional hangover.

  • Navigating promotion, role changes or exits in a grounded, strategic way.

  • Aligning your leadership style with your values, strengths and nervous system, not someone else’s template.

This is not “be more confident, just believe in yourself” fluff.

We work with your actual brain, behaviour and environment.

Life and lifestyle redesign

This is for you if you’re looking at your life thinking:

“Surely it’s not just work, chores, collapsing on the sofa and the odd holiday?”

We will:

  • Map your current life story and how you’ve been trained to think about success.

  • Use values, strengths and needs profiling to define what genuinely lights you up.

  • Design experiments to bring in more rapture, adventure and joy in sustainable ways.

  • Shift patterns that keep you in survival mode rather than conscious choice.

The aim is not perfection. It’s a life that feels more like yours.

Strengths profiling & psychological assessment add-ons

I integrate strengths profiling and evidence-based psychological tools into coaching when useful.

We might:

  • Use strengths profiling to understand where you naturally perform at your best.

  • Explore thinking styles, self-efficacy, emotional regulation and behavioural patterns.

  • Apply insights from neuroscience and behavioural psychology to how you plan, decide and act.

This isn’t a personality quiz for entertainment.

It’s targeted assessment to inform clear, grounded decisions about your life and work.

My approach: The Conscious Life Design Framework

I use a practical framework that blends psychology, neuroscience and behavioural science with real-world action.

1. Assessment

We start with clarity:

  • Your history, context and current pressures.

  • Your strengths, values, needs and non-negotiables.

  • The specific patterns that keep you looping (e.g. perfectionism, people-pleasing, catastrophising, black-and-white thinking).

This gives us a psychological map, not just a list of complaints.

2. Awareness

You learn how your brain and nervous system are currently operating.

We look at:

  • Cognitive distortions that fuel imposter syndrome and anxiety.

  • Your self-concept and the stories you’ve internalised about success, failure and worth.

  • Triggers that push you into fight, flight, freeze or fawn responses.

Once you can see the pattern, you can interrupt and rewire it.

3. Design

Here we get specific and creative.

We:

  • Define what “rapture”, “adventure” and “joy” mean in your life, not Instagram’s.

  • Design a life and career that actually fit your psychology, strengths and nervous system.

  • Identify clear changes to test – in work, relationships, time, environment and boundaries.

No vague “live your best life” chat. Concrete, behavioural design.

4. Experimentation

We run behavioural experiments in your real life, not just in your head.

Examples:

  • Trying a different way of speaking up in meetings.

  • Saying no once a week and observing the outcome.

  • Blocking time for something that feels “indulgent” and tracking your energy and performance.

We review what happens through a psychological lens, adjust, and repeat.
This builds self-efficacy – the belief that you can influence your own life.

5. Integration

Finally, we:

  • Consolidate what you’ve learned about yourself.

  • Embed new habits, boundaries and ways of thinking.

  • Create a clear plan for the next 6–12 months so you don’t slide back into autopilot.

The goal is that you leave coaching leading your life, not just reacting to it.

Where I’m based & how we work together

I’m based in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

I work:

  • Online, with high-achieving women and foudners across Scotland, the wider UK and internationally.

  • Occasionally in person in and around Paisley / Glasgow, depending on what we agree.

If you’re a professional searching for a coach in Scotland – you’re in the right place.

Results clients typically see

Every human being is different, but common outcomes include:

  • Feeling more solid and grounded in who they are.

  • Clearer decisions about staying, leaving, changing role or starting something new.

  • Less rumination and overthinking, more calm, deliberate action.

  • Stronger boundaries with work, family and themselves.

  • Increased confidence in their competence, value and leadership style.

  • A life that feels more alive, adventurous and self-directed, not just productive.

Most clients work with me over several months so we can go beyond insight into actual change.

FAQs

What is conscious life design coaching?

Conscious life design coaching is structured support to create a life and career you’ve chosen, rather than drifted into.
We combine psychology, strengths profiling and behavioural tools to understand how you tick, then intentionally design and test changes in your work, time, energy and relationships.

How does this help with imposter syndrome?

Imposter syndrome isn’t cured by shouting affirmations into the mirror.

We look at:

  • The beliefs, experiences and systems that created the imposter narrative.

  • The cognitive distortions and perfectionism patterns that keep it alive.

  • Real-world evidence of your competence and impact.

Then we build new patterns through behaviour and exposure, so your nervous system actually experiences being capable and safe while visible.

Is this therapy?

No.

Coaching and therapy can sit alongside each other, but they’re different tools.
Therapy often focuses on diagnosis, healing and past experiences.
My coaching focuses on understanding how your psychology shows up now, then using that insight to design your future and change your behaviour.

If at any point I think therapy or another specialist would be more appropriate, I’ll say so.

Do you only work with women?

No. Whilst my work is primarily focused on high-achieving professional women and the specific social, cultural and psychological pressures they face I work with anyone who I believe I can support with my expertise and skillset.
If you strongly identify with that experience and feel drawn to this work, we can talk and see if it’s a good fit.

Can I work with you alongside a demanding full-time job?

Yes – most of my clients have demanding roles.

We design the work to be realistic:

  • Sessions scheduled around your commitments.

  • Focused actions that fit into your real life, not a fantasy schedule.

  • A clear understanding that your time and energy are valuable, and we treat them that way.
